I (heart) DejaNews, I mean: Google Groups

Well, I've been adjusting the band on my new Seiko watch and was wondering how to remove links... A quick web search came up fruitless (it is a relatively cheap watch, so it is a pinless band) and Seiko's website seems to operate under the delusion that only jewelers are allowed to adjust watches. Most frustrating...

Of course, that's when I remembered that the Internet is a far bigger than just the web: time to search newsgroups. Sure enough, a top search result was right on the money. In five minutes, I had my watch band adjusted and was done.

So, kids: remember that newsgroups are for more than trading pirated files and pr0n -- there actually is wonderful information out there!
